Triad Process Equipment and Radius Engineering

Overview

Triad

Triad Process Equipment is a ball valve manufacturer that has been established since 1990. The company is based in Milford, Michigan but is a nation-wide ball valve supplier. Whether you are a large valve distributor or a company looking to place a small order, Triad Process will meet your needs.

Triad's products are manufactured and certified to ISO 9002 and are registered for use in Canada. They conform to the latest standards set forth by the Canadian Technical Standards and Safety Authority. Triad has received a Canadian Registration Number under this authority. This is a requirement for any valve installed in a pressure system in Canada.

Three Piece Valves

Three Piece Valve

The series 50 D three piece ball valve is standard in 316 Stainless Steel and has a direct mount stem and mounting pad for ease of automation.

The series 50 Three Piece Ball Valve is used anywhere a dependable three piece stainless steel ball valve is required. This valve, as with all Triad valves, is produced free of silicones and contaminates, assembled dry without lubricants and suitable for use where process cleanliness is required.

The 920 series Three Piece Ball Valve are the perfect valves for food, dairy and beverage systems. They come standard with PTFE cavity fillers to protect against the entrapment of bacteria and product residue in the cavity of the ball valve.

The series 66FD three piece ball valves are high performance full port 316SS ball valve, 2000 WOG, fire safe design API 607 4th addition certified. Used anywhere combustion able fluids are handled. This valve is ideal for use in fuel systems, fuel tank farms and hot oil heating applications.

Flanged Ball Valves

Flanged Ball Valves

The series 9000 high performance flanged ball valves use a full port split body design, blowout proof stem, an anti static device standard on all valves, and a self adjusting floating ball. The fire safe design is in compliance with API 607 and BS 6755.

A patented stem double sealing design provides a high cycle rate, automatically adjusting the stem seal. The spherical segment ring at the bottom of the stem, energized with Belleville washers, provides constant pressure to the primary stem seal, forcing it outward and upward against the bottom of the stem journal. All of the media will be contained by this seal under most conditions.

A top journal set of three v-ring chevron packing acts as a secondary seal promoting a high cycle, self adjusting stem seal. The triad series 9150 is also available with a V-notch ball option for control valve options and metal seats for high temperature and abrasive applications.

High Pressure Valves

High Pressure Valves
The Triad series high pressure valves offer full port 6000 psi rated valves in sizes up to 3 inches, and are suitable for steam, hydraulics, oil and gas production. and all high pressure fluid applications. The VS series valves are used quite extensively in areas requiring a full port high pressure rated valve in large sizes.

Three And Four Way Ball Valves

Three And Four Way Ball Valves
Triad offers a tremendous value in multi-port three and four way valves, The utilization of common bolted on ends and four seated design offers the ability to interchange port configurations and allow every port to be an inlet and/or a blocked flow port. This offers tremendous flexibility, a multitude of flow path options and the ability to use various end connections on each port. The valves have direct mount actuator capabilities, live loaded stem seals making them ideally suited for long service life in mixing, blending and diverting applications. View possible configurations for our multiport ball valves: Flow Direction and Port Configuration Selection Guide.

Butterfly Valves

Butterfly Valves

The Triad Series 750 has a cartridge seat design to alleviate installation problems associated with the dove-tail-design (booted) seats. It has a phenolic backing that keeps the seat from shifting during installation, reducing tearing and fatigue. Precision machining of the disc and body allow the cartridge design to maintain a tighter disc to seat tolerance, providing a perfect low torque seal each and every time the valve is cycled.

Triad offers many choices of direct mount electric actuators. These actuators are worm gear driven, eliminating the need for motor brakes. They come standard with manual over-ride and large dial position indicator. They are available in all voltages both AC and DC and come standard with auxiliary limit switches, heaters and thermostats. Options include 4-20ma servo control, position transmitters and local/ remote control stations.

Triad offers direct mount rack and pinion pneumatic actuators that have double travel stops insuring precise seating of disc. These actuators are available in both double acting and spring return versions. The actuator is corrosion resistant inside and out. Available accessories include modular mount positioners, pilot solenoid valves and limit switch assemblies.

Direct Mount Electric and Pneumatic Actuators

Direct Mount Electric and Pneumatic Actuators

Most every valve is provided with a direct mount ISO 5211 stem and mounting pad. This standard design allows users to direct mount most brands of valve actuators without the need for additional bracket and coupling hardware. This saves time and money and provides a more precise fit of the actuator to ensure long trouble-free cycle life. In addition users of manual Triad valves can easily mount an actuator to the valve at a later date. This design allows us to provide both electric and pneumatic actuators that can be direct mounted with pilot solenoid valves. We offer 4-20 MA or 3-15psi positioners for throttling applications. We offer limit switches with dome indicators to indicate open and close valve positions locally and remotely.

Radius Valve Actuators and Accessories

V Ball Control Valves

V Ball Control Valves
Both the Triad 9000 Series and 66 Series ball valves are available with a segmented ball option in various degrees of V angle that give countless control valve options in a quarter turn valve. These V-Port ball valves are economical alternatives to expensive linear control valves. Triad combines its proven high cycle pyramidal stem seal with a 50% stainless steel/ 50% PTFE seat design giving years of uninterrupted service. Optional metal seats are offered for higher temperature applications. Both series come with direct mount modulating electric or pneumatic actuators.

Metal Seated Ball Valves

Metal Seated Ball Valves

Triad Series 9150, 9300, and 66 valves are available with engineered metal seats for today's demanding process conditions. These metal seated valves are suitable for applications with elevated temperatures or highly abrasive conditions. The valves are typically provided with a hard chrome plated 316SS or electro-less nickel plated ball and hard faced Stellite or Alloy 6 seats. The valves are manufactured to Class V shut off. Each valve is designed for each specific application and has a quick delivery time.

All valves can be outfitted with either an electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuator. Special actuator mounting is designed for high temperature valves, which both isolates and dissipates the process heat that may otherwise cause damage to the actuator.

Cryogenic Ball Valves

Cryogenic Ball Valves

Triad offers industrial valves for all types of cryogen services including oxygen, hydrogen, methane, ammonia, nitrogen, fluorine, LNG and others.

The design includes:

  • Bonnet extension with live loaded stem seal.
  • Body cavity relief hole in ball to prevent over-pressure due to thermal expansion.
  • Blow out proof stem.
  • Engineered material components to ensure low thermal stress.

Triad's cryogenic valves operate at low torque throughout the entire temperature range.

Two Piece Valves

Two Piece Valves

Triad two piece ball valves are full port, silicone free valves that come standard with lever locking device.

The special drilling of the valve automatically bleeds the interior of the valve once the valve is closed.

Grooved End Valves

Triad offers two-piece valves for grooved end piping applications. These valves are easily installed with two grooved end couplings.

Double Union Valves

Double Union Valves
Designed for quick change out, and self contained center sections, double union ends eliminate piping ends and nipples, allowing quicker less expensive installation and easy maintenance. Stainless steel handle, top works, and 316 SS union nuts are standard. A top mounting pad provides secure mounting of an actuator to the center section. With standard grounding springs, the 2000 WOG design allows maximum operating pressure in a threaded socket weld or butt weld end. Optional seats are available, assembled dry, silicone free, and suitable for automotive water borne paint applications.
